i have a hyper active 1 year old border terrier... how do i amuse him?

Long walks, clicker training, agility, rat-hunting ......

Hide his food or treats, agility, flyball, get another dog?

I can highly recommend running with your dog. I do a mixture of off-leash and on-leash, and my Boston Terrier loves it; it's really strengthened the bond between us. She's pretty fast, I have to say, and I'm sure a Border would be even better.

Our borders are quite laid back

....but chasing the lurcher around the garden keeps them fit.
