It's a little bit further than I would usually travel, so would like opinions on what it's usually like please :)

Do they take care with the ground? Is the SJ beefy? Any comments appreciated :)

Was there today doing BE100, last year I did the 90. XC slightly different this year but nice and straightforward for the 90. The water is reversed this year so a little more inviting. The ground is a huge improvement on last year, firm but good grass cover and even. Sj has moved to better ground, slightly sloping arena and jumps are bright with spookyish fillers, not over big though. Have fun :)

Thankyou, it's the one in July I'm looking at entering so I'm guessing it won't change much :)

I don't mind bright showjumping, I just get a bit of a wuss when the oxers are full up!

It isn't our first BE90, so a few questions xc are ok. It sounds perfect, I think I'll make the trip! Thanks :)

I was there today doing BE90 the ground was, as said above, on the firm side but a lot of work had been put into it and there was very good grass cover so overall it was nice. The course was very similar to last years with only a handful of changes. I would say it was one of the nicest BE90 courses. A couple questions asked and even then asked nicely i.e. an angled double but the angle was very slight. Good course and SJ nice although bright. Good event and very friendly and helpful.

I did it last year. From what I remember, the SJ was about right - not tiny but not seeming big either. I didn't think it was particularly bright - just the normal poles and fillers really, there was one 'sun' filler which was quite bright?

The XC I found quite small really, and very straightforward. Some of the fences were tiny but there were a couple of questions, like a step up to a log and the water caused loads of problems with a seemingly innocent Hovis fence just before it getting stops left right and centre! On the whole though, I would definitely say it was at the easier end of BE90s.

More up to date info in posts above, but they had done a lot to the going (watered it a bit I think) last year and, with good grass cover, it was perfectly acceptable after a dry period.

Nice event in general IMO but it was a trek for me and I probably wouldn't go again.
