how do you go about it? we have no contract of any sort but they have had the horse for just over 2 years now.

i am happy with the way she is being cared for but not necessarily how she is being ridden (previously very confident jumper now refusing a lot).

thought i would say end of july to give them time to look for something else? and how do i nicely say i want her back because i think she is being wrecked??? or do i not give a reason?

never had to do this before and already feel very guilty

no contract and no, not a family member or friend- not really the question although i do appreciate the sentiment.

i have no fears about not getting the horse back etc but want to go about this in a fair and nice way without upsetting anyone

Just say you feel that you now have the necessary time to commit to the horse and therefore you would like her back.
No point upsetting the loaner if it's not necessary.

What was the reason for loaning her out in the first place?
And if it was permenant loan eg more than a few years, then is it really best for her & you to take her back?
Not to mention very upset loaner (ive been that side of it and its really not nice!)
