Asking on behalf of my friend...

She has just clipped her 14.3hh tb x mare, shes 10 years old. She does put her out for a few hours everyday with a stable and turnout rug on. She was looking into getting a neck rug and she seen this on ebay.

She was asking my advice on this but ive never used one before, my two finer horses have full neck rugs.

So she asked me to ask yous guys.

Are they any good?

I have used a few for turnout for a few hours and they were fine, but they are only fine for a few hours not all day

Shes only 18 and at college, her dad wont get her a full neck rug (not a horsey person) so shes to pay for it herself, and she only gets a few hours work a week.

Thats why she looked at that, it wasnt too dear for her

h wears his all day with no problems but sounds like a few others have had trouble with them as turnouts

Why doesnt she keep looking on e-bay and just buy a neck rug that attaches to a rug by d rings.......they usually arent too much money, that way she can detach it too if her horse gets too hot.

never for turnout, can be absolutely lethal if horse rolls and moves it to obscure eyes... i've seen this happen. not worth it.
