so i rode my horse today in the field as the ground is good at the moment, in our marked out dressage arena. I decided to take off his breastplate and i lowered his bit as i thought it was a bit too high in the mouth, so i started to do some dressage work with him.
for the first time he started to accept the bit and he started to foam!!! lol very pleased with this as he has been fussy in the mouth and not properly accepting the bit, but his trotwork was good and consistent, and the canter was good but i had problems keeping his shoulder in on the right rein, but i am assuming that will come once he gets his balance better in canter (he keeps tripping)
so hopefully he will go well for me(!) in my assessment on wednesday night for eventing ireland, as i really want to get eventing!
its just a xc lesson with sonia duke (the late sherelle dukes sis) but i havent been xc in a while!
so wish me luck!
how were all your assessments? any advice greatly appreiaciated!
