I'm currently at college and we have this feeding assignment where we have to do two different diet plans for one horse and also do the calcium and phosphorous ratio correctly. Since I like this assignment I have gone over board (as I do :)) and I need:
Calcium
Fibre
Protein
Oil
Starch
Phosphorous
Vitamin A
Vitamin D
Vitamin E
Total sugar amount
and would like it for:
Dengie Hi fi lite
Dengie Alfa-A Molasses Free
Allen and Page: Power and Performance
and also Hay soaked and unsoaked

I know this is a massive ask for anyone but the assignment is in for monday and I can't find any of this information.

P.S. if anyone uses a small sausepan as a scoop can you weigh a half a scoop of pellets for me please :) I can't get to my yard as I'm injured.

Hi,
I have tried to find out the information myself but this is my last resort.
So don't talk to me like I'm lazy and saying "here's my work, someone finish it off for me"
I also thought this would be helpful for other people if they want to work out the calcium and phosphorous ratio in their own horses feed.

I am shocked that you can be so rude like that. That's not right, these forums are to help people not kick them down

If this is for a college/uni assignment then you'll need to use sources that can be referenced, any help given on here will be purely anecdotal and so no use to you at all.

Why not contact some feed companies, they'll send you material that can be referenced. And they'll give you several sample diet plans.

Good luck with your assignment ;)

thank you flojo
I have contacted them I am just waiting on replies.

quick thing,
My horse is on atm
allen and page fast fibre and dengie hi-fi lite and 1-2 hacks a week.

and for my assignment the second diet plan is his work load to 1 hr schooling, twice a week. 1 hr hacking, once a week and 1hr driving training once a week.
Is it a good idea to change his feed to:
allen and page: power and performance
Dengie Alfa-A molasses free (to get him to chew)
and Bailely's Low cal Balancer.

I'd still class that as light work so would question power and performance. That's still only 4 hours work. Mine do double that on grass nuts and a balancer and ad lib hay.

Plus you can't do a feeding plan on worm alone. You need to know the horses condition as a fat horse in hard work would need no additional calories but a light horse would need a lot more.
