What’s the usual rate for assistance at DIY nowadays eg mainly bringing in services where you are? Prices where helper is based at yard so doesn’t need to add travel cost. Thanks

Mine is built in to my livery but at previous yard I think it was £2 per turn out. Maybe £2.50 as the fields were some 5-10minutes walk away.

Mine is £2.50 for weekdays bring in -no legs/rugs, i.e. no leg washing or rug change. Same price for turnout with rug change. I get my horse and his friend in myself after work to cut costs (saving for costs towards buying next horse).

I also tend to do weekends as I love being up early and on my own with my dog, so I normally do Saturday and friend does Sunday turnout, if she can't do Sunday then I either go up myself or put in diary and pay - think its £3.50 weekends, for rug change and turnout or bring in no legs washing/rug change.

FDC (full day care) is £9.00 for skip out or £9.50 for muck out - they will make up your horses tea for that night and breakfast for next day out of your feed bin. They will hay, water, turnout, muck out/skip out depending on your bed type i.e. if you have a pelleted bed with shavings on top they just take out poo and skim surface wee off which is classed as a skip out, bring in, change rugs.

I love assisted DIY. I can't manage to go up before work unless absolutely necessary i.e. for box rest so it helps me out so much and the staff we have at the moment are some of the best we've had and I feel really comfortable with them looking out for my lovely boy.

We pay £3 for turnout or bring in, an extra 50p for leg wash and boots/rug change. A day of full livery is £15, muck out only is £6 I think. Nets or feeds in is £1.

I am on an assisted livery and on my non full days I can opt for £2.50 bring in or turn out including rug change, pick out feet and leg wash (fields very close by) or £10 for full day in and out including mucking out. They don’t offer just muck out and turn out in mornings as it’s not cost effective at less than £10.
