Quick report - not a bad day overall for us (apart from shocking early start - we had finished all 3 phases and washed Lex off by 10am!!

Our dressage is usually shocking - after an excellent lesson from Partoow last night it was slightly less dreadful than previous attempts. We got 41 which isn't too bad for us.

I thought the show jumping was much more technical than anything we have done at Novice yet - it included a treble that went oxer-upright-oxer which always makes me a bit wobbly! Anyway, Lex jumped nicely - just tapped a couple of poles which annoyingly both fell down. Blooming light poles!! Watching the video back, I think I let her get too long and flat so something to work on there.

XC is usually her speciality. We walked the course thinking it looked straightforward but for some reason she had a good look at a couple of things. Odd for her. Still, clear is clear and we only got 4 time faults (haven't managed to crack Novice times yet!).

So no shiny point for us yet - not eventing now till Winkburn - we are going to work on the dressage!

I have finally worked out how to post pics so have put some below (hope this works). Apologies but I haven't cracked re-sizing pics!

How did everyone else get on?
