Not the most amazing day, but am still VERY pleased with my boy!!
Muppet here got totally lost on the way, so a 2hr journey (max) turned into a 4hr journey, and I missed my dressage time
Secretary was fab though, and said not to worry, just go down when ready! So tacked up, after very brief warm up, went in and did a nice test. I didnt put studs in, and unfortunately we had a few slips which made him a bit tence in his canter, but still thought we'd be mid-late 30s, was gobsmacked to find out we had got 41.5. Worst dressage to date, but never mind!! Last 2 tests have been 30's.....
Anyway, went to SJ, and t was only 4mnths ago that my boy couldnt get round a complete course at an event as he just couldnt cope with the atmosphere etc. Anywy, walmed up beautifully, really forward into his fences, and wanting to jump
Went in and did a lovely rund, but had 2 down as I just sat there and steered, so he got a bit close and took front oxer rails with him, but he felt FAB and was soooo pleased with him
Decided not to run XC, ground was rock solid, and it want worth it. But overall sooo poeased with how far he has come simce the beginning of the season, and looking forward to the ground being decent again so we can actually complete an event!!
Thanks for reading, pics will be up soon.....
