Seen a few of the top names this morning at this amazing venue, fence judging on fence 8 which looks huge to me but its a 'let up fence' apparently. We saw Ross Canter and Walter go round and Austin O'connor.

We're about to start on the big class with 36 jumping efforts the International 4 star Zara Tindall and Ben Way in this class to name but a few. Looking forward to it, just done our radio checks and we're ready for the off.

Come and say hello if you're around, we're on fence 8!

Well done for volunteering, sounds a great day to have been able to fence judge. Am I right in thinking that it looks like the fence was on an artificial surface? If so do you know if much of the xc course was?

thanks Squeak.

Yes we were on one of the outdoor arenas, we were fence 8 for the both classes. The other fence judges on the arenas did 9A, 9B and 9C (10 wasn't on the arena for the first class from memory).
For the International 4* class we stayed on Fence 8 and the fence judges at Fence 9 judged 9A (as fence 9) and also fence judged fence 10 pictured. It was great how they made use of the arena.

I assume they had the dressage on grass. The SJ was on the other arena.
