No, I drove all the way in the end, actually the parking was £10 and not £20 so wouldn't have saved much money going on the train anyway although my car would have been safe from runaway diggers!
Thank goodness for being too poor and common to afford a parking spot near to the course!
Henry does like public transport though, we went on a park and ride bus on holiday and he thought it was great fun!
Not sure his fellow passengers appreciated the musical accompaniment to the journey though
Yes it was when Harry Meade's horse was stuck on the fence - I'm told they brought a digger up in case the fence needed taking apart, and then the handbrake went and it trundled off down the hill and took out about three parked cars
I'd probably take a slightly older puppy along, but I'd carry it rather than make it walk. Good socialisation IMO. Too far for a tiddler to walk though.
I saw a tiny puppy being carried, looked much younger than 8 weeks. if it had to be put down somewhere for a wee, i'd be worried it might catch something. my aunt lost a pedigree gsd pup after taking it to dog club when it was too young and it catching something awful.
Hen, i think i saw you twice, but i wasn't sure it was you and i couldn't remember your real name (durr) and didn't want to accost some stranger and sound like an utter nutcase! you didn't have a spangle with you either, so maybe it wasn't you at all!
I had Otto with me most of the time I think, managed to give him away a couple of times on Sunday
but they kept finding me and giving him back
Don't worry about forgetting my name, I was just trying to work out how you would have known it was me, and then I remembered, we only spent a week together at Burgie...
There was a poor lab pup could have only been about 11-12 weeks old and it was walked the whole course owners went round the same time as us and i never once saw it picked up
The amount of tiny terriers and Dax`s that where weighed down with diamonte collars with more diamonte charms than a bracelet from argos had me sad too
Oh bless, I wouldn't take such a tiny puppy! And it would have to have all jabs etc too - I was thinking more of 4/5/6 months old really. It's just Henry comes everywhere with me, so if I had a puppy it would be really important to socialise it so it too could take everything in its stride as he does (I've been so lucky with him). I wouldn't keep it out all day though, and I wouldn't expect it to walk the whole course! Size permitting it could do a Henry and travel in a bag
