At last! A proper frost!

I was feeling fairly alarmed yesterday after hacking past a row of Oak trees with swollen, opening leaf buds yesterday.

My roses are covered in both hips and new flower buds. Nature has definitely been under the impression that we were heading in to Spring.

Reassuring to wake up to a good hard frost this morning. Temperatures look to be staying low so hopefully the grass should stop growing now.

Lucky you! That is good news. It's just really, really wet here - the air is saturated and now it's cold as well, so it feels horrible. I'd love a nice dry frost.

(ETA - although perhaps first I should pile up some leaves over all my spring bulbs that are coming up)

Damp foggy and murky here!
There was a bit of a frost yesterday though or the day before. When I say a bit, I didn’t even notice until it was daylight!

Just mild and foggy here. We've only had a handful of nights where lighting a fire was needed. I love crisp frosts, but so far our geraniums and other plants in containers are still flowering outside.

Hard frost here with frozen water troughs - gloriously sunny morning which suddenly turned to freezing fog halfway through the day …

Minus 6 here yesterday morning, hard frost all day, back up to 2 degrees today and set to get a bit warmer and wet.
I want to cold and dry to stay.
