From Rideaway:

'The Rambo Sweetich Hoody. Our most powerful rug in the battle against Sweet itch. The highly durable fabric is treated with Vamoose insect control technology which is a synthetically engineered form of Permethrin ensuring maximum protection from flies and midgets allowing relief and comfort for the pony. This is an extremely durable fabric...'

S :biggrin3:

Surely a hoody would do the opposite of protecting from midgets :confused3: they'd be able to grab it & vault up onto the horses back? Those pesky midgets :mad3:

last year my horse came in from the field covered in midgets, it was a nightmare, only the promise of pantomine work got rid of them!

I have a midget infestion on my yard. It's most annoying when they suicide bomb my open mouth (not that I talk too much, you understand)... It's most uncouth of them :p

Thank goodness a manufacturer has finally addressed this problem. My summer rides have been ruined before - my horse is quite large, and I find I just don't notice they're down there, swarming around his legs. I believe they bite too!

I find this too - I swat them away but they just keep coming back  I've even tried spraying them with Deet, but nothing seems to stop them. Blasted midgets, then I find the dwarves are at it in the winter.

Just love autocorrect :) Shame the proofreader was snoozing.

What ho, Shils, old bean! How's the cob? ;)

What have you done with the Cucumber person? If you've eaten her, now would be the time to fess up ...

sushhhhi enquired about the cob the other day... I think if we refer to the shire x as a COBBY type we are safer.

There are midgets at my yard: I find it quite effective to shout at them and withhold the biscuits. They're quite useful for backing very small horses, but they can't reach to get on my enormous cob :(
