I posted quite a few months ago about my mare, who rodeo'd me off twice last February. I was about an inch from selling her as she is so quirky and I had just lost my confidence. Well we had a Chiropractor out who found nothing and then in late May early June she was still displaying cold backed like symptoms (inc. bucking when I got on her etc). I spent £500 on vets bills to be told it was an abcess. I even got the vet back out when the abcess was cleared as she was clearly still not level behind. No avail.
About 6 weeks ago I got a differant vet out who found an old muscle injury in her bum, she had torn the muscle and as it had healed it had contracted and that is what caused all the bucking problems, so on that front I am happy! I found out what was wrong with my pony after all that money spent!

So thank you all for your advice at the time, I did persist and we got to the bottom of it! Hopefully.. when she comes right.. her behaviour will improve..

yeay a happy ending :-) Glad you found what was wrong and fingers crossed you can progress now! My mare had a kick and ended up with scar tissue which made her do a jog in trot and not want to trot as it hurt her to stretch through - luckily I could see the damage and work on it but amazing how many horses have a hidden injury that some people just pu down to being naughty! Shame it cost so much but at least worthwhile in the end :-) Good luck with her :-)
