At my wits' end - horse losing shoes, please any help/ideas much appreciated!

Hehe! Will look into the F4F - have seen it mentioned a few times. His feet have been improving on what he's on atm, and they were a million times better than when i got him... until he started tearing bits of them off with the shoes. Idiot!

Problem is the knobber, who is actually normally very well behaved to shoe, was a prick last week to have the fronts back on. I don't normally make excuses for him but he genuinely was in quite a lot of pain with his feet, and he pulled back at one point as a clench was going in and apparently the farrier is now feeling that and can't work

So got to try the other local farriers now, who all seem to be completely unable to ever answer their phones or call back from voicemails... I only ever leave one voicemail but I do try them several times, have never managed to get hold of a single one of them!

Next question - any tips for actually getting in touch with a farrier?!! Desperate to have them back on by tomorrow evening a) because he gets so sore and damages his feet without shoes and b) I've got a lesson and I don't want to miss it for the second week in a row because of his shoe-pulling antics... lovely new instructor woman will think I don't like her! :D

Thanks Faracat... just managed to get hold of one of the lads from a little further afield (he's on that list, good to see his has a good qualification ;)). Feel a little guilty not using one of the very local boys but if they won't answer their phones/get back to me, then they don't get the business!
