At what point do you start feeding joint supps?

My horse is 7 and I feed one because he has arthritic change in his pastern, I only started it when I got him 6 months ago in his previous home he was turned away.
So I'm feeding it to help a problem but if I had a veteran I would feed them to help older joints.

Have my lad on a Glucosamine supplement, since my farrier said he was stiff in his hind fetlocks this winter. Has Physio out yesterday who agreed he was a bit stiff behind and I was doing the right thing.
He is 15 and she said it was nothing she wouldn't expect of a horse his age, and size

My boy gets a joint supplement because he is 15 next year and a large horse. He has ringbone but its non articular so I dont think the supplement really helps with it.
Its mainly precautionary. Joint supplement is the only supplement I give him, purely because Id rather know Im doing all I can than wait for the problem.

My horse is 10 and on a joint supplement as he stiffens up relatively easily and has been showjumped all his life. He also has a slight imbalance in his hind legs so I might just be paranoid!
