Last night there was an attempt theft of a pony at my yard near Canterbury. The pony is a little palomino lead rein welshie and is fortunatly kept in a stable next to his owners house and her garden gate is padlocked.
An male of Eastern European appearance tried the gate and the padlock at 0015 hours this morning drove away and returned again and tried the padlock again whilst on his mobile phone. This was reported to the police and patrols attended, the vehicle was sighted but made off before it could be stopped.
The vehicles details are a sliver Skoda Estate GK57 WSD and the registered owner is from Dover and has an eastern european name. Enquiries will be made!
This is NOT a HOAX! And there is no other reason for anyone to enter the garden!
Any sightings contact Canterbury Police and quote CAD 15-0009.
It is believed a gang are stealing to order an initial vehicle will dope the horse and then it is stolen when drugged so easy to load, however this info is not confirmed!
