From our sleepy village!!! We are North Devon near Winkleigh.
Totally shocking, the police think it's stolen to order! The owner lives in a valley just outside the village but there are 2 houses, 1 either side of her. Her horse was in the field opposite but the gateway is further up the road and noone overlooks it.
The horse is Chestnut, I can't tell you what breed as I have no idea, (we don't see eye to eye) it's about 15.1hh-15.3hh.

Witnesses say they saw 2 suspicious vehicles, one was a red car and one was a white van. Police are going to be ringing mum with more info, so when I get more i'll let you know.

Bloody hell - That isn't far away from me!

That is a long way from the previous reports of red car and white van - just goes to show these people will travel miles for what they want.
 
Yeeks! I am near Holsworthy. Mind you, they would have a job getting Fly on the lorry, it's all I can do to get him in the stable. Bit of a worry though.

It is horrible when you find them gone but you have to get out after them, the police don't.
 
Just to make you all aware, it is the same vehicles as reported in Stolen Horses, Tack and Transport. Go and read those posts, they are important.
 
Oh god..my friends horse was found wandering on the moor the other night. Doubt she got out of the gate and over the cattle grid on her own

I heard if from one of my liveries earlier - we have locked and bolted the back driveway so the only way in to our place is down the main drive and we hear that. Also we don't have any fields opening on to roads so a bit more secure - still far to close for comfort. Have told all my liveries about this and asked them to challenge anyone they see at the house or yard. Mind you - I have got one horse that will be turned out in it's full travelling gear - could solve a huge problem if they took that one - and he loads like a dream

Wizoz, or anyone, do you know the exact date and approx what time of day the horse went missing? Also more details needed on the horse, mare/gelding? age, breed, ID marks and a crime ref number.
 
The day was yesterday, I tried calling police but was put on hold for ages so gave up. I will see my mum in the morning and find out more details from her. I've seen the horse loads of times but have no idea if it's mare or gelding! let alone any of the other credentials

OMG im so worried gonna make that appointment for freeze mark right now im in shirwell but thats only 20min,s away feel awful for those poor people what a worry hope they find him........
