Theres been a new outbreak of a fatal virus called HENDRA VIRUS.
Its a ZOONOTIC Virus. 5 horses and 1 person are already Dead.

Not good is it? although glad I have now returned and didn't decide to get residency there after all. Hope they manage to catch it before it spreads to the wild population - otherwise they are in more trouble. Although may stop the need for their horrid helicopter culls they do

The person killed was evidently a vet.
