Attention seeking tactics ....

:D

Oh, you know, hurling himself upside down on his back, barking in my face, eating the furniture.....

My older lab sits on our feet if we are ignoring her, but she's very gentle. I'm quite new to dog ownership (3 years) although my mother had a dog when I was growing up (OES - but she and I hated each other, don't ask me why, only animal I've ever known that I didn't get on with), so I'm learning about them every day. When my younger dog started doing this, I assumed she was being careless and dropping the ball down the stairs accidentally, but as you can see from the video, she certainly does it on purpose now. :)

usually steals something, runs to a safe distance then stares at me, challenging me to get up and retrieve said item. If i dont react after a suitable length of time he comes a little nearer with it obviously in his mind to give me a fairer chance of getting it

At the yard he will usually go and nick one of my mums shoes (she will leave them in unsafe places i.e anywhere other than up her own arris :p ) cos shes guaranteed to shriek and try to get em off him regardless of how often i tell her not to

He will also roll his ball under thro the tiny gap in the yard gate then jump up and down rattling said gate with an 'omg how did my ball get thro there' woof

doncha just love em :D

love that labs face. so funny. My cara brings things and literally throws them at you. or if she wants something or wants you to do something, like get her bone out after she drops it through a gap in a pallet, she does this 'rowf' sort of noise. she has slightly different noises for different things tho. very sweet dog and quite demanding lol.

Bracken has a variety of tactics that prevent me from working! He likes to slam his foot onto the keyboard, when that doesn't work he tries to roll over on top of the laptop, he's a big and heavy dog now so there isn't a lot I can do about it! He'll also repeatedly bring you toys/bones and drop them on the keyboard-then when you pick them up to remove them he goes nuts for you to throw it!

Bloody dogs. I love the bones of him, though x

Zak starts a play fight with his brother, bats big dog over the head, runs upstairs, finds his squeaky ball and squeaks it endlessly then rolls it away and pounces on it to make it squeak. He steals shoes constantly and has recently taken to bringing the post when it lands on the mat.

The others are well behaved and just donk you with paws. :D

Sprocket "sings" at me when he thinks he is being ignored (It's very funny - he lies on the floor, shuffles his legs and smiles at me while singing). If he has a soft toy he will put it on my foot to try and get me to throw it for him. Alternatively he will drag his bed into the living room from the kitchen and start pulling the stuffing out
He really is a very attention-seeking little monster!

Firstly Barn sticks his head on your lap and whines, if that doesn't work he barks, if he still isn't getting attention he then steals something and if he still isn't getting any attention he runs around barking and throwing whatever he stole :p
