When SJ'ing should you wear a tie or a stock?

(Little local things if it makes a difference on the level)

I always wear a stock but its a case of each to their own.

I really like stocks but didn't know if it was correct.

Also as it is my first time out...ever!!!!! and is only a minimus clear round *blush* didn't know if it was OTT

I use a stock collar for showjumping but prefer men in ties women in stocks or stock collars

On the 6th at Plum Park.

It is the biggest evnt ever in my eyes as we I have never been to a show and never jumped a course!

Also bert is a bit charlie big potatoes at the moment

I have told all my family they must attend even tough it will be all of 18inch!

It might aswell be badminton for all I care

Where abouts are you in Northants?

i'm hopefully going to mkec... just the novice evening they do there on the first tuesday of the month. not sure what we'll enter yet. a couple of small classes i think. i don't think we'll make it there in time for the clear round.. have visions of being beaten by a 9 year old on a pony! still it's all fun isn't it. only plan on competing against myself if that makes sense.

I was going to do that one but couldn't get out of work early enough.

Are you doing the family show august 5th at MKEC? Plan to make my showing debut there, the also have trailblazer and SJ on the 9th of sept which I am planning to do.

I will only do clear round at the moment as I have only done a little jumping and never in a lesson or anything..... my balance is not great and I also do not want to get an a*s whooping from a nine yr old. I can jump 2'9 as a one off jump but course wise i think i am better with 2ft or less as a course having never jumped on before.

i have to rely on lifts unfortunately so everything i do is fairly last minute. at the mo i only have the 1st down in the diary, but after that who knows, will go everywhere and anywhere if there is room on the lorry for him.... and also my horse is only on loan and works in the riding school on saturday mornings so it depends if he's being used or not. which is a pain sometimes.

crikey! you are literally up the road... well keep me up to date with where you are for shows and stuff. would be nice to say hello if we're ever at the same one
