I am shocked and saddened to read this. I do hope that you get some good news from the vets today.

You poor thing! I am keeping everything crossed for you. Were your horses the only ones affected at this yard? Hopefully your boy will have been caught early enough to save x.

I am so sorry to read this. After your last thread I checked my field and found some seedlings. Ill be honest and say I had no idea how dangerous they were so I pulled them all out and burned them with some ragwort. I am so so sorry this has happened to you and your horses, but please take some comfort in knowing you have educated others. Everything crossed your horse makes a full recovery x

Update from Vet is that he was stable overnight & is eating well so keep the vibes going for him. Hoping to be able to visit him this evening. Still a way to go before he is out of the woods but so far, so good.
Today's priority is finding a new yard. We had a horror year for yards last year & thought we had found the perfect one.

So pleased its positive news. Everything remains tightly crossed!

Good luck on the yard hunt. That in itself can be an absolute nightmare :(

Bloody hell, how awful for you. Glad to hear he has picked up a bit. I suppose at least one positive from your terrible loss was that you were all alert to the symptoms, hopefully it will have saved your other horses life. Sending you all the positive vibes I can muster.

We went to see him this afternoon & he looked so good I had to keep reminding myself how seriously ill he still is. He has got used to his frequent small feeds & whinnies every time someone goes past thinking he will be fed again. We smiled when the vet described his feeds as small - it's bigger than he usually gets once a day at home! Pee is still discoloured but his personality shone through today.

Am hoping that continues to improve and sending positive vibes.....I did not realise the risk of these seedlings and having found them in my field in ridiculous numbers have spent 8hrs pulling seedlings before my horses went back out.....this could have been me and I can't imagine how awful you must feel xxx
