Just a little post to say I just started using this - under duress mind, it was the only thing they had in the shop at the last minute! But I am very pleased with it - anyone else got any feedback on how they find it?

I used it in my box for a while, I found it pretty good ... but I prefer shavings for my boy (he's a TOTAL minger, and they're more absorbent for his super-soaker tendencies

Aubiose.. i have to say.. is the best bedding I have ever used. I dont use it now as on a full bed and too expensive, but next year when i have my mats im going back to it.

Its so absorbent and its dust free and smells clean!!

i love it !!! ive been using it for about 1 year and i would not use anything else now. i only use 1 bale of it in my stable at a time and i put 1 new bale in every 7-10 days. its fantastic at soaking up the wet nothing else can match it .... even though it is £10 per bale it works out so much cheaper than every other bedding as you need to put in more than 1 bale a week of most other beddings.
ETA ... i have full stable matting hence why i only need 1 bale at a time.. i dont know how cost effective it would be without stable matting .

Love it. We don't have rubber, the floors are level concrete and don't drain. We have two elderly boys and two mares on it, have used all sorts over the last 15 years here and always come back to it as the most economical and easiest to manage. If they've gone through more than usual because we haven't been turning out, eg when it was snowy, I bulk out the banks with shavings. Take out droppings daily and wet once a week, about a barrow load per box, and one new bag goes in. Hemcore smells nicer (citronella) but we used two bags every second week as it just doesn't absorb as well. I get them for £7.99 a bag collected 15 miles away, ££8.60 at a closer stockist.

I think if we had rubber I'd try wood pellets, but not on non-draining floors as I just can't manage lifting them to wash underneath.

I mix a bag ina month with my wood pellets (to lighten the bed). Like it, but bloody expensive (hence mixed with my cheaper pellets).

I used it a couple of years ago when my mare was on box rest, however I had to change over to shavings as I found Aubiose to coarse and it started to make her heels sore.
