Auctions in Scotland?

was just wondering if there are any horse/pony auctions in Scotland as i've yet to come across one.

Yes there is one at Thainstone (Aberdeen Northern marts)

Perth mart/racecourse perhaps? Not 100% sure which but I've definately seen adverts in the paper.

Have a look in The Scottish Farmer, it often has sales/auctions advertised in the classifieds, in fact i have just looked and there was one today at Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. Check next week and see what they have got, It comes out on a Friday.

Thainstone in Aberdeen but to be honest haven't been there in ages but it used to be if they were there it was for a reason.And never trust what sellers said!!Used to see 2/3 yr olds trying to be sold as 4/5 riding ponies!So sad some even still had remnants of foaly tail.

There used to be one at Biggar twice a year, not sure if it is still on. There were a lot of horses and ponies at it, quite a traditional type of auction with a mixture of good and bad.
