Auf Wierdersehen My Pet

I missed the end of the show but I also thought the horse needed some manners, she seemed to be a spoilt princess.

As for the dogs I am another who would never in a million years rehome mine, I cannot think of any circumstances where I would give them up .

Does anyone know how poor Missy got on in her new home.

Whilst this show has become a guilty pleasure I do think it glamorises the ease of rehoming when in reality animals can languish for months in a rescue centre.

I also think some of those chosen as prospective owners are not suitable ie the Guinea pig breeder / shower with 25 already and they lived in a dark cramped garage with no obvious daylight and no outside space.

Glad I am not the only one who was saddened by this programme :(

Also did any one notice that Tomaz in the first programme has been in nearly every reality programme going, come dine with me, dinner date etc?

Missy settled in well and the family loved her. They had some teething problems but it all worked out ok. I really felt for that dog.

Call me cynical but I thought the lady with the horse wanted someone to put all the work into her mare as it was a loan so would come back educated for free.

She struck me as someone who wanted a big pet and was out of her depth with a badly behaved horse.

Considering she'd had her since she was 15 months old and she was now 5 years old, she really had not done much for her apart from spoil her rotten. I have seen way too much of this, get a cute youngster, 'give them the right start' in life with no cruel hard treatment otherwise known as manners and boundaries, then give up later on when they are bargy and unhandlable on the ground. I was not surprised she came back at all, the way that lady rode was not really ideal for her and the one who rode her best admitted she was going to need a lot of work. At 5 she should have been out and about or atleast schooled to a decent level to be able to start going out. She showed dodgy temperament all the way through IMO most of it from being spoilt. I do hope that the home she ended up in works out.
