Aussie Eventing team for WEG announced

So, thoughts? Am glad Sam Griffiths has been picked, an under-rated rider based over here. No surprise that Paul Tapner's on the team, he'll be one to beat in the individuals too methinks.

The 6 are:

Christopher Burton - Holstein Park Leilani
Sam Griffiths - Happy Times
Sonja Johnson - Ringwould Jaguar
Megan Jones - Kirby Park Irish Jester
Paul Tapner - Inonothing
Stuart Tinney - Vettori or Panamera
 
I'm glad to see Jaguar and Kirby Jester have been selected, the last few times I've seen them run here they have made the 3* tracks look like a PN.
Chris Burton I think is interesting because he is a good rider and its a good horse but I think he might be a bit green at this level, last time I saw him at a 3* (back in May) he didn't give quite the same image of a confidant 3-4* horse cruising round like the other two.

Tinney - I'd love him to take Vettori as he is utterly divine and I'd like to see him do well at a big international event, I dont know his other horse (too blinded by Vettori's blinding whiteness :) )

The combinations based in Eng I don't really know apart from what is in H&H. has anybody seen them run 'in the flesh'? How did they look?
It seems strange to have an Aussie team with no Clayton on it!

ETS - dont know if it the time difference but the team was up on here before it appeared on the eventing Aus forum! :)
