hello, I had an account here years ago but haven’t for years so a new account.

My friend lives in QLD Australia, she has her own horses at home and contacted me this morning with a video of two horses in an awful state. One is emaciated and the other has a bit more weight but both have awful overgrown feet. The paddock they are in is scrub and they have dirty dam water and nothing fresh. She has been providing clean water for them for a week and small portions of hay each day and has contacted her local RSPCA but hasn’t heard back and they’re still in the same postion. The paddock is off the bush and has no properties nearby suggesting who might be the owners.

If it was in the Uk I would be contacting my own vet and WHW however her vet isn’t able to get involved for legal issues and she’s unsure of any Other charities who may be able to help does anyone know of any equine charities in the Queensland area who I can put her in touch with?

The state government, Dept. of Ag & Fisheries, if it works like NSW, will have someone who deals with welfare or can at least help with working out who the owner is.
There should be a regional office she can contact.
