Hi I'm 20 years of ago and own a coming up 3 year old. I've had her since 6 months old and I'm currently training her to be broken in. My partner and I have been having a lot of thoughts about getting a working visa and living out in Australia for a year. My only issue is my pets. Not only do I own a horse, but also 2 dogs and 2 cats. Realistically I can't fly them all out with me as it will obviously cost an extortionate amount of money for the sake of a year apart from them. I've priced up how much the mate will cost and it's looking to be around £7000 without additional fees. These are her important years of training and I don't want to get rid of her but also worried about putting her on loan incase she gets ruined. I really need info and advice on what to do. Thanks

I would suggest leaving her here to be honest. I have just come back from oz, my original plan was to spend a year or two out there, and maybe stay. I had a fab time, but there were things I missed so came home. Transporting her out there would be rather more than that, and if going on a working holiday visa, which you can get without sponsorship, you will only be working for the same person for up to 6 months. I would say leave her here, and have a fab time. If she is on good full grass livery, it won't do her any harm, and at 4 she will be ready to play around.
