Does anybody use one and what are they like to ride on? how are they measured would i get one to fit a xtra wide pony with no withers and what are the prices like, lots of questions sorry.

I play polocrose in my Sid Hill stock saddle which has the flat (western style) pannels and will fit pretty much anything with the right pads. I'm not too sure on prices, I know Wintec do a synthetic stock saddle (which looks a bit crap) which is about £600/£700.

Pete usually just does South Arfican stock saddles (which are similar) but he's worth contacting because he may have a 2nd hand aussi stock.

I absolutely LOVE mine - brought it back from New Zealand over 10 years ago now and wouldn't part with it for the world!

Mine is also a Syd Hill...

Prices are generally quite high for the genuine Aussie saddles.

Lovely to ride on - I've used mine for general hacking, on youngsters (excellent seat security!) and also for xc.

Also worked well on a horse which wasn't going very well in a conventional saddle - he loved the Aussie saddle.
