Can someone help me resolve an arguemet.

Can you get non-HGV lorries (those classically labelled as 'ladies lorries') with automatic transmission without paying through the nose for a 'custom' one?

Thanks

Thanks for that, I thought it was the case but fellow livery was convinced that if I wanted to buy automatic transport it would have to be 4x4 and trailer.

Those rear facing ones do look pretty good

A friend has one and its fantastic as a day lorry! The horses travel fantastically, there is plenty of room inside and they drive very well too. We put my 17hh gelding in out of interest and he fitted comfortably. There is also a little bit at the back for tack and everything plus a little seat. If you leave the back doors open the horses can stand on the lorry all day and watch the day go by. They may do automatic 7.5tonnes but I have never come across one

one of antoinette mckeowens owners had a small lorry (two horses) that was automatic and it certainly wasnt expensive. but you will probably have to look hard as they are mainly custom built originally in this country, though they are becoming more popular.
