Hi Guys,

Horse is currently 1 month into box rest, two months remaining. We have moved to a new yard with automatic water drinkers in the stables. My rather bored horse has started playing in the automatic water drinker and flooding his bed of shavings...

He's never played with his water before, and gets fed a decent amount of wet sugarbeet twice a day (so consuming plenty of liquid)... Stable is in an indoor barn so constantly something going on and lots for him to look at, but it means I can't tie any likits etc from the ceiling.

Any ideas?

I had to turn mine off at the stop tap and use buckets, sorry!! I left it and left it thinking he'd get bored then came back one day to no more water bowl, Just a completely flooded yard and water pouring out of broken pipes!

at college there was one who pooed in hers every night, they just duct taped over the top of it - might be easier if it can’t be turned off for whatever reason

I didn't really want it to come to that as it means more work for the girls, but doesn't look like I've got any option... roll on the end of box rest! Literally the longest three months of our lives (sigh)
