Any of the well known makes should be fine. I think the main things are to make sure who ever fits them does a proper job and once fitted keep them well maintained, cleaned out, washers and floats replaced when needed and have the pipes lagged against freezing (but be aware horses like to chew the sponge lagging!), as these are the reasons most go wrong.
at the new yard I'm at we have the large bowl ones (almost the size of a bucket) and George seems to be drinking more than he did from those little ones.
I have installed and serviced loads of them and the best ones are the plastic Paxton Corner Water Drinkers as they also have a drain hole. Make sure you fit a stopcock to each one so that they can be individually turned off making cleaning them easier. Use the blue plastic piping and fittings to plumb them in. Order spare ball valves when you order them so that you always have spares available.
