I did say i would update more often with our adventures so here i am!! My last BE run went a bit like this......
3 hour drive down to the beautiful oxford-shire countryside getting epically lost in tiny villages along the way..... Main aim for this event season.... Correctly follow my sat nav and stop putting my lorry in places it probably shouldn't go!!
Arrive at venue to find no parking attendant so park in the nearest available spot.... yup the only one in the whole parking field marked out for the rider rep..... oooops!! Thankfully no one came to ask for help, as all im good for is telling people how not to ride a BE80!!
Off to stressage we go... Now im not sure if you know this or not but if you own a coloured pony take note... the white boards eat them!!
A little tense during the test so a deserved 40.5 plenty left to work on but i was pleased with him!
Now im not a fan of sj, so much so that i have named my sj demon BORIS THE ANIMAL, was Boris going to make an appearance today?? the warm up was showing a 50:50 chance so into the ring of death we went and out we came with... a STONKING clear round!!!! Screw you Boris I won today!!!! MEGA PONY LOVE HERE OF COURSE!!!
Now for the fun part the XC!!! only one fence i was a little dubious about, the water it was a log in, through the water with a HUGE brush out.... My aim was to kick and possibly close my eyes!! I didnt want to make the same mistake i did at poplar so i rode out the start box like some one possessed and didnt let up until we were home.... He was flying, he flew everything well almost everything we might have sort of fallen over the ditch but hey it classed as a clear! Oh and the water was no bother either, what a clever pony!! and Yes i did cry as i came through the finish!!
DOUBLE CLEAR at our 2nd BE what a little legend!!! 6tf meant we were pushed out of the placings into 15th but thats a minor detail, we went clear!!!!
