Can anyone help me work out how to get a .jpg picture of me and my pony as an avatar for the forum? i am new and can't seem to get it to work!

Oh I wish I knew, I tried resizing the image in photobucket but still too big and I tried resizing it in photoshop first, hence why I still have no avatar.
