Average house prices?

Tony Blair's position is obviously untenable. He needs to go, but when?

Our flat in London has trebles its price.
Our old house was a 6 bedroom with 9 acres and sold for £800,000 (aprox) however we were bt a busy road.
Even for a 3 bedroom with 1 acre garden in th cotswolds is £400,000

I'm never going to be able to buy a house, and prices are relatively cheap up here! I just want a nice 2 bedroom house, but its over £100,000 in all but the really crappy areas.

. 6 years ago my old YO bought a 250 acre farm with new massive house and 18 stables and proper yard for £750,000 - you'd never get anything for that price now!

Bought ours 20 years ago (yes I'm that old) , before prices went silly. Am now divorced but got to keep house and 1.5 acres and it would probably be in £200-250K category now, which is cheap for something with land round here but house could do with some work on it. Wish I could tart it up more but can't afford it but I love it here anyway.

It so depends on where you are too........we sold a large three bed detached house with 2 acres, with a Defender 110 thrown in too, in Wales, not a posh part, for just 170K last August, bought it 10 years previously for less than a quarter of that when prices were very low. The purchase price was the only reason we moved to Wales.
Something similar in England would cost Heaven knows how much!
