Average width of the spreads in 2ft6 show jumping courses?

Hi, I realise that every show will be different, but I have just started competing my 13hh pony in small local shows again and was wondering if anybody had a rough idea of the average width of the spreads in a 2ft6 show jumping course. I have tried googling it but nothing came up. This is just for my own reference for when I am practising for shows. Thank you

I think it really depends on the venue - some local shows the 2ft 6 is really small, others look comparatively massive because they are up to height. I don't think i've ever seen anything wider than 2ft 6 though (as in the jump looks square)

I don't think I've ever seen a 2ft6 course with a spread wider than 2ft... Good luck!

Thank you this is really helpful. I couldn't find anything online. Even if the spreads are smaller than 2ft6 wide I will be confident that she can clear them with ease.

I definitely wouldn't expect anything to be wider than it is high at local level.
