Any one know if these are any good wanting some with a battery pack as horse is jumpy and wondering if they will be strong enough to clip out gypsy cobs feathers?

I bought a set for my mare who used to have to be sedated when clipped. They are really quiet so will be suitable for your jumpy horse... I would buy a set of coarser blades (no 9) and attach those to do the feathers with - you'll find they'll go through alot easier than than the standard ones that come with the machine.

Yes I have some and they have transformed my jumpy mare; very quiet.

I agree with pinhead- get bigger blades as the ones they come with are a bit small and it seems to take forever to clip; and keep them sharp! And obviously keep them well charged; if they go off they are hopeless so give a full charge the night before you want to use them.

I haven't tried any other battery powered similar ones so I cant make a comparison.

These transformed my unclippable horse to one that is now happy to be clipped even without a headcollar on, although I dont do that.
When I bought mine the sellar asked if he was very hairy as he said he had had one complaint from a lady with a cob. She had said they wouldnt go through his coat. Ive used mine for clipping and feathers although his feathers arent mega. He is a ID x Shire x TB and gets a good coat. I bought a course set of blades just incase for feathers and they have been fine.
