Arrived this morning in post.

1.Do I need to dilute or do I spray it neat? Also

2. Is it suitable for face (but obviously not direct in eyes or too near)?

Thanks:)

Need to get mine ordered in- I spray it straight onto the coat- but tend to dilute it a bit for the boy's face. -I put tea tree into mine too! :D

I'm actually an Avon lady :) Nearly all my horsey friends get there SSS from me, it's the dry oil body spray. It's fab, not only for flies but also sikly soft tails :)

Please patch test it carefully!!

I used it one year on my horse with no problems then the next year I didn't patch test it and he had become very allergic to it. His skin broke out red hot and weeping where ever I used it. My gelding was so swollen it looked like he had testicles again!

4oz. Avon SSS
1c. vinegar (white or apple cider)
30-40 drops of citronella oil

Combine those ingredients in a spray bottle, then fill up with water. Shake before each use.

Is it on P90 of the latest Avon catalogue ie Replenishing Dry Oil Body Spray? Only asking as I don't want to waste money if I am getting several bottles and they are the wrong ones!!

Also Avon lady (RG26 3PA) it's on special 1/2 price offer during the latest campain 7 p94 - dry oil body spray 150ml (06700) @2.60 or get the 250ml bath oil and dilute to make up your own spray (16352) only 2.30

I love it as I smell nice as well as the horses to keep away the flies :)

Please don't apply this when it is hot and sunny - oil gets hotter than water as it doesn't evaporate so continues to heat up on the horses skin - apply on a hot day and it's just going to sizzle away and can cause burns. It must be diluted if you're going to use it. Baby oil and pig oil can do the same thing

So what's the definitive answer please?

I haven't got citronella or white vinegar, so how about if I dilute it with 1/4 water?:)

It's the dry oil with the greeny blue label, it already has Citronella in and
I use it neat, spraying into my hand for the face, I also spray the tail but
it's such a fine spray the horses don't look oily, you don't need to use a lot.
Works well as a fly repellant for people as well
