Pairs horse agility kind of competition? Might have developed from ploughing or driving to very precise guidelines?

"Mennen op het woord" means training, controlling by voice only, but I guess you've already worked that out ;-)
Bit like the sheep dog trials in the UK, but the animals are a bit bigger!!!

From the location I would say trained for logging, , amazing they respond to voice commands and working together in small spaces.

I think they use very precise voice commands when logging (clearing forests) could it be a comp based on that? They are fabulous, amazing that each horse can be commanded separately! I've heard people call heavy horses thick - not based on that they're not!

Brilliant display of the hard work and discipline installed in logging horses which these two are most likely used for also. The majority of logging horses would excel at this because of the high level of discipline required for them to work in forestry, safely.
