i went out yesterday hunting for the first time for me and my horse
it was the most fun i have had in years the bloodhounds were an amazing group to go with, they took care of everyone (even when i momentarily lost control, they all stopped and let me circle in front to gain control again!) my boy whom ive only had for 3.5 months was perfectly behaved and jumped everything i asked him to
one of my best days ever
heres a few pics!

second from the right
ruined in the space of half an hour...... put the boy out last night as it was such a nice evening and felt mean leaving him cooped in a stable
to find him on 3 legs this morning
he was absolutly fine last night ate all his tea and was a happy bunny mooching around the paddock, today his offside front fetlock is swollen and contains a lot of heat so i brought him in hosed it, placed an ice pack on and left him in today (had to dash out and deal with a naughty pony for a friend) came back to find no change in his leg so called the vet.
vets a little unsure as to what it is as he has a few small abrasions caused by over reech boots which were a little infected (probably from carrering through muddy water yesterday
) i did clean these before putting him out last night.
so:
1) his fetlock could be swollen from this small infection (hes a bit of a weedy tb so of course he could be over reacting by hanging his leg in the air! or could not...)
2) he has an infection in his tendon sheath
3) hes done his suspensory
vets back out on wed morning to review him i just hope he improves by then and its senario 1 and not 2 or 3
please send healing vibes to my little man, i have soo much planned for him this year and really hope hes just being a weedy tb and its just a small infection
