Awful day a cut leg and nail into the frog , emergency vet out assessed / antibiotics and hot soak and poultice , discharge on poultice this am so praying this is a good sign

A friends mare stood on a nail, head of nail flat with sole so in deep. X-ray showed it just missed pedal bone. Lots of antibiotics and dressings but mare recovered really quickly.

Discharging which is a good sign , finished antibiotics tomorrow, no signs of lamness , bright and eating well and no temp so hopefully discharge is abcess , vets did warn could get abcess continues to do well over the weekend
