Awful neglect

I am local and this has been going on for years 😕 many eyes on the situation now after these latest posts thank goodness - whether it will rumble on for another decade we'll see - or they may all get killed (or kill someone else) on the A47 - yes I am very bitter and cynical

I keep seeing this pop up on my facebook page as it’s not a million miles away from me either. Feel helpless as nobody seems to be helping them! The woman has been convicted and banned from keeping animals previously I am told. RSPCA are useless. Apparently she has put a large bale of hay in the field now after seeing the comments but there isn’t any water- what happened to the no water rule?! That always used to be their excuse - if they have water there is nothing they can do. There is a reason I will not donate to this charity - if this isn’t neglect I don’t know what is!!

Absolutely disgusting. How the hell in this day and age can’t the authorities take action and remove and prosecute. Poor ponies

Apparently all have been removed to the RSPCA, so we probably won’t hear much about them again.

They have gone to some charities?I know one we donate to had been trying to get the vile individual who owned them to sign them across, but she wouldn't. The charity says the RSPCA constantly put up hurdles that impedes there work, even the police struggle with them. I should imagine the only reason they arrived this time was because the press had been notified!

None of what has gone on is to do with mental health, she is a disgusting person who deserves to be locked up.

From posts I've seen over the weekend 6 were removed initially. 2 of which were taken on behalf of the breeder as they were still registered in her name. They were only sold the back end of last year and photos show that they went as plump little youngsters ready for a winter out being babies. It sounded like breeders and previous owners were being asked to come forward as the ownership of the ponies hadn't been up dated - really not sure how you'd legally go about doing that but I guess you'd argue the case at a later date.
