That is tragic news, I just can't imagine what the family are going through. MK a local venue for me and its shocking to think that such tragedies can happen on my doorstep.
My thoughts are with all concerned.
As a parent it is your worst nightmare, & no parent expects to outlive their child. It was a tragic waste of an 11yo's life & by all accounts was a freak accident. My thoughts are also with all those that witnessed the accident & saw her father breakdown, that must have been awful for all concerned. RIP little one.
I cannot begin to understand how awful this must be for this girl's family; to see her die like that. Up until yesterday I was under the mistaken impression that the indoor XC at MK had fences that could be knocked down; I had no idea they were solid. Dreadful, dreadful accident.

I don't know what fence she was jumping when the accident occured, but they have solid roll tops etc. Sadly it doesn't have to be a fixed, solid fence that causes a horse to flip - have seen it happen a handful of times over standard SJ fences too
