Awful state of ex racers in Barbados

My daughter rode ex racers when she was on holiday here and they looked ok!
I was shocked to see these pictures of ones that the tourists don,t see,poor things!!!

Oh god. I've ridden an ex-racer there. He was in the process of adjusting to his new life as a trekking "pony" and looked in great nick. I was under the impression that a lot of Bajan ex-racers went on to become polo ponies - I am sure I read an article last time I was there about a chap who specialises in reschooling them?

I've been to the island several times, and will no doubt be going back. I am horrified by this.

That's shocking! TBH, some of those horses have got to the point of no return, poor things Makes me angry what people can do to such trusting, loving animals
