Took the lorry out for it's maiden drive with a horse in the back today so I could move storm and Allie (my 2yo) over to _Claire_'s livery yard (_Claire_ is lovely! It was so nice to finally meet her!). Allie bless her looked like a little native pony, she's so fuffy and muddy
Both girls went on th box fine and travelled brilliantly. Both got turned out together (bearing in mind storm hasn't been in a field since the beginning of January) they both stuck their heads down and ate! I was relieved, I had images of them charging around and going straight through the fence
This evening I decided to pop Olympic over a few fences and bless him, he was so good!
I put some fences up and when I brought him into the arena and stood there thinking "*meep* I can't jump these" and my face looked a bit like this >>>>
We popped a x-pole then jumped a 90cm ascending spread (only a narrow one) a few times and there was a treble up (x-pole - 1 stride - 90cm upright - 1 stride - 1m upright) we had a crack a that but the distancs between the fences were a bit short for him and he went a bit big over the x-pole and took out the uprights giving a huge buck 2 strides over the last one
so I lengthened the distances and popped through again and he did it perfectly. He's such a saint and I can't wait to take him jumping on Wednesday
Sorry, pointless post but I thought I'd share
Pimm's and cheese cake for those that have read all of it
