Quite sad to hear how much he had going on... not sure if i agree with him being left so long that he died... i often think that if it gets to that stage, it's been left too long.

I do agree but it also makes me so glad that these horses are not pts as soon as they are no longer up to the job as so many other work horses are.

Yes its nice they now go to nice retirement homes, they also try to get them to go together if they have a friend retiring at the same time.
