Ayrshire which areas?

My husband has a new job in Ayrshire so we are going to be moving up there. Not really limted on whereabouts to be based so just wondered which areas are the best for hacking pref with some off road. Not really interested in competing anymore.

Also if anyone knows of any small DIY livery yards with space for a couple of older geldings, can you pm me.

Ayrshire is a large area where abouts are you going to be staying ? Plenty of livery yards all over Ayrshire .

Looking to stay within 20 miles of Kilmarnock, but it depends on location, the main thing really is off road hacking.

Eglinton park in kilwinning is good off-road think u need 2 buy permit but don't think 2 expensive
Dean park in kilmarnock think can ride in

Irvine has the most amazing beach - you can gallop for miles . Eglinton Park is not far from there either

Oh, and North Ayrshire RC do a lot of their stuff in Eglinton Park.

You really won't beat Craigengillan Stables for off road hacking but its many years since I've been there so I don't know what it's like as a yard now.
