b&b's near burghley horse trials

anyone have any reccommendations of the above that take dogs and wont break the bank for the thursday night?!

Can you not just camp in a tent? you can pick up a tent from Argos for £40.

As I understand it, you can't camp at Burghley.

Let me know how you get on - I am local and could get more numbers for you. Most places in about a 20 mile radius are booked up pretty much year on year.
