Hi, all

Am thinking of finding some B+E training near Warwick as it turns out I could be able to borrow a towing vehicle myself occasionally until I bite the bullet and get my own (probs not strictly the most sensible option for a year or so :o). The bulk of the teaching would come first on the farm and then on the roads with family / close friends who have grandfather rights, but I'd rather get a mock test or little bit of formal training before the test so I know I'm doing it the 'test' way ;)

Can anyone advise if I should be looking for anything obvious/official in a trainer or even more helpfully, have any trainers to recommend? Biscuits for pointers...

Borrowing a trailer to practice with is a good idea

when reversing just 'go backwards' to start with in a large area - nowt fancy - just go back and then when comfy be a bit more adventurous

Many LGV training schools also do BE training

If the practice trailer is not the box type then lose your rear view mirror and use only side mirrors all the time

If you can remember your car test then the road drive procedures will be the same

The only laws to be a BE trainer are - held BE licence for at least 3 years and be over age 21 - thats it

Forget using your own trailer for test as they must conform to DSA test standards in regard to size weight and mirrors for the examiner etc

Hi, we are based next door to Aston le Walls and run courses here. Let me know what you want to do and we can go from there. Currently we have some dates available for our one day courses in October, and can help with training right through to actual test.

Hope this helps
