I was in the dbd intro and i am so glad i was now! Lovely early start on saturday at half past 6 and got ready for the 4 and a half hour journey. Tacked up mavvy and headed off to the dressage. He was warming up not as well as he could have done but what do you expect after standing on the lorry for so long! Went into the area was quite sticky and he had a few stumbles but i was happy, he behaved and we had no bucks or running offs! Got a score of 29.5!

Had a 2 hour wait until the sj. Went into the food hall and scoffed loads of freebies as my lunch. Ambled along to the sj to see the warm up like a ploughed field!! So i started warming up outside the warm up on ground that was ok. Watched a few people going round and the course seemed to be causing quite a few problems. Started jumping mav and went in, rattled no. 3 but it didnt fall so a lovely clear round. He was enjoying himself a lot, first time out this year jumping on grass so we went a bit faster than usual!!
Put him back on the lorry to go and walk the xc course. the gound was holding at that point and there were a few deep bits but i was happy.
went to the stabling for the night and it took us half an hour to get there , but this morning it took us an hour to get back the to showground as we got lost!!! i was planning to walk the xc course again this morning but walked round the 1st 5 jumps to see the ground and it had got muddier. Tacked up mav who was being very cheeky and buffing everyone in the chest. que jemma turning white and being useless because of nerves which happens everytime! xc warm up was slippey and very muddy. went off to do the course and he flew. We slid into the 2nd part of no.4 as it was very slippy but other than that it was brilliant! I had 4.4 time penalties because i trotted into the 2 steps down to the hedgehog as the ground was very, very deep. If we went hc then we would have come 3rd! (hc because silly horse decided to go clear once at novice and come 2nd)
sorry its so long!!
